About

About NetDiagrams

NetDiagrams is Network Diagrams by Industry, a series of 10 ebooks on drawing networks that auditors, insurers, vendors and the on-call engineer can all use, and a free, open-source tool that draws those diagrams from NetBox in draw.io. Luke Ponio writes it, and SegAudit LLC, a Wisconsin company, publishes it.

What we make

  • The books. One field guide per kind of site: plants, schools, warehouses, stores, offices, banks and credit unions, local government, hotels, corporate campuses and car dealerships. Each has a sample site, data collection worksheets, a 20-question scorecard and a free chapter. Sold here as PDF and EPUB, DRM-free. Book 1 is also on Amazon Kindle.
  • The free tool. pip install netdiagrams fills an 11-page draw.io network standard from NetBox and reports what doesn't match. Source on GitHub (Apache-2.0), package on PyPI.
  • Free guides. Network diagram tips, how-to guides and an OT security study map, free to read with no sign-up.
  • SegAudit. SegAudit LLC also makes SegAudit, which reads firewall configurations and shows where the rules depart from the zones and conduits you drew.
