Terms of sale and use

These terms cover netdiagrams.com and the books sold on it. NetDiagrams is made by SegAudit LLC, a Wisconsin limited liability company ("we"). By buying or downloading from this site you agree to them.

Buying a book

Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) sells the books as our merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, charges any sales tax or VAT, issues your invoice and handles refunds, under its own buyer terms. Card details go to Paddle and never reach us.

After payment we email a download link to the address on your order. The link works for 14 days, with 5 downloads per file. If it expires or runs out, write to us with your order number and we'll send a new one.

When we publish a new edition of a book you bought (for example 2.0 after 1.x), we email the address on your order a free download link for it. Smaller corrections don't trigger an email; any download after they are made gets the corrected file. You can stop update emails with the link at the bottom of any of them.

The Complete Library includes every book listed on the series page when you buy it, on one download link; a book published later is sold separately. Any 2 and Any 3 bundles include the books you pick at checkout. Sale prices (such as a launch-week or spotlight price) apply only during the dates shown on the site, and never to an order already placed.

Your license

Single books, bundles and the Complete Library are for one reader.
The Team license covers one book, and the Team Library every book in the Complete Library, for up to 10 people at one company. Store the files where only those people can reach them.

You may quote short passages with credit, and use the book's rules and checklists in your own drawings and drawing standards. You may not share, resell, upload or publish the files, or use them to train or build an AI model or dataset.

Each file carries a line naming the email address and order number it was licensed to. We keep a record of which order each file came from, so a copy found online can be traced back to its order. A refund or a reversed payment ends the license for that order.

Refunds

If a book didn't help, ask within 14 days of purchase and we refund you in full: use the refund form or email us. This covers single books, bundles, the Complete Library and Team licenses, one refund per customer. Nothing here limits a refund the law gives you, and Paddle may also refund under its buyer terms.

Free downloads and the tool

The free chapters, guides, quiz and data collection worksheets are © SegAudit LLC. You may use, copy and share them unchanged, with credit, but not sell them. The NetDiagrams tool is open source under the Apache License 2.0; its license, not these terms, governs the tool.

The content

The books and this site teach a way of drawing networks. They are not engineering, security or legal advice, and they don't certify compliance with any standard. Test every change in your own environment and follow your site's safety and change procedures. Example sites, devices and incidents in the books are fictional.

Product names such as NetBox and draw.io belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

Liability and law

The site and the free downloads are provided as is. To the maximum extent the law allows, SegAudit LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or production, and its total liability for anything relating to a book is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Wisconsin law governs these terms. Subject to any non-waivable right to sue in your home courts, the state courts in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin have exclusive jurisdiction.
